Rex the lion - your family is in grave danger - Urgent help needed!
Friday, February 27th, 2009
Rex we haven’t seen you around for quite some time, not sure if you are out flirting with another tribe. Dude get your ass back online, there is urgent trouble in the lion kingdom and we need your help.
A group of humans wants to “euthanized” which basically means kill 16 of your buddies, they are not evil humans its just getting to expensive to feed your hungry buddies. The friendly humans have put out an urgent appeal to members of the human race to help raise funds to feed the hungry lions but as is usually the case it seems during these financial times the humans are putting their own mouths first and so it is with regret that I say that if you don’t respond with urgent help, your family is in grave danger!!
A few of your loyal fans have clubbed together to start an action campaign of blogging, tweeting, and even facebooking to help save these 16 amazing lions from sure death, the problem is that even we are not powerful enough on our own and we really need your help. I will also be calling on my good old friend Vernon Koekemoer, maybe he and a few Heavies from Vodacom could step in and help.
If ever there was a time to help save the enviroment now would be the time to jump.
I entreat every single blogger both in South africa and abroad to blog about this and I am sure that together we can help save these beutiful lions from meeting a unfriendly human end.
For more info on the 16 lions that will be executed without your support please visit this site.
On a more sick note: I have heard a rumor that some sick officials do not want to issue permits so these lions can be relocated? I really hope these rumors are not true, do you guys have any idea what rex the lion will do to you if he finds this to be true?
Update: Oh and a little good news for the road, I have just heard that some kind heart has stepped in and provided food for another month, so the execution date will probably be postponed till the end of March. I am still awaiting documentation fron SANwild to back up this story. Will update soon.
