So after waiting and waiting to get my name on the list for the Rocking The Daisies competition, I finally got an invite from my good friend Beverley over at FeistyFemale.com

Just when I thought everyone had forgotten me, Feisty came to the rescue and may I say she did it like a lady. Thank you Bev, you ROCK, probably more than any Daisy ever could!

O the joys of being last. Anyway I was reminded of an old Afrikaans saying, it goes something like this. ” Wie laaste lag, lag die lekkerste” A basic rough English translation is ” Who laughs last, laughs the best” So here’s to hoping I will be laughing all the way to the Rocking the Daisy Festival in a few weeks time. I mean I must have a few other loyal buddies out there who will tag me in their posts right? mmm the sudden silence on the blogosphere has me worried for a second

Eric, Rafiq Phillips, Jayx, Charlvn, Mike, Joey, Chris, Dave, Max, Telana, Justin, Henk, Vincent, Paul, and Tyler anybody out there.. eish silence… This silence has me worried. Maybe the fact that my frigen webhost isn’t displaying my blog doesnt help much. Grrr

Anyway as to what I will take with.

The first place I would stop is at digicape.co.za for a few supplies, I mean can’t do a road trip without first stocking up. Once I am all stocked up, hopefully with either a nice iPod touch 8Gb or a iPod Classic 80Gig, the journey will be a breeze. Now that my music is all sorted its off to the menu of items to take along for the trip.

1. as i am going to an eco festival near the daisies I will take my wife along as she has never actually seen the daisies and it would be great to visit some of the local attractions afterwards.

2. The next thing would be my trusty fring mobile, I mean there is no way I can make it without that beast.

3. What would a road trip me without my fring handset to keep in contact with all my IM buddies and to make sure I can stay up to date with twitter even when I am in the middle of nowhere land.

4. Obviously a tent would be great but if I am going as a VIP it would better to live it up like a VIP so I can VIP in style, I mean just think about meeting up with some famous singer with deurmekaar hair and smelling like the bosveld, for this reason I would probably take some pocket money and book into a cozy little B&B in the area.

5. Hell only 5 things you say, wow thats almost impossible, I would surely need a lot more things, anyway 5th on the list would be a few good friends, would invite all my friends to join me over at the show, I mean whats the point in doing something if you can’t share the experience.

Well I can go on rambling for hours about what else I would take, but I think the most important thing will be a old card board and a permanent marker, because damn I am gona need to do alot of begging to make it home with the fuel price the way it is. Darf I mean R12 per litre this is madness.

Anyway I wonder what these guys would take with to the festival, and anyone who wants to bring the all new iPhone 3G with to show us, I wanna be your friend. hehe
